Spray guns are intended for limited usage and are considered disposable after each set of tanks. We know that many customers like to use the same gun for 2 or even 3 sets of tanks. To assist in the maximum performance and life of the gun during multiple tanks, or over an extended period of time, here are some precautionary tips to consider:
+ Use the vasoline provided in accessory bag, or purchase a small jar for maintaining the O ring moist. This will help proper functioning of nozzle. If gun is to be stored overnight or longer, apply the vasoline to O Ring, as instructed in operation manual.
+ to wipe off the gun barrel (without nozzle) please use a towel, a piece of foam or carton, or your gloved hand.
+ Do not use acetone to spray and clean the barrel of gun. This may dry out the O Ring much faster than normal. Acetone also contains some water which may enter the A side pin to cause curing. Any minor curing would affect the proper flow of chemicals and affect the quality of the foam.
+ CPDS units have heavy duty hoses that can perform over several months. This may cause the user to keep the gun in place for long periods. Hardened foam will possibly cause pressure on O-ring during use with nozzles. This can flatten or deform the shape of the rubber and over time allow some material to seep in this area.
Over long periods, the rubber may deteriorate or break. Please remember that the best performance will be with new spray guns used for each set of tanks. Although this is a disposable gun, good maintenance will make it last over several sets of tanks, if customer desires. |
